Please note: there is NO outside food or beverage permitted, however, concessions will be available.
You will have to fill out a waiver to enter the building. Keep an eye out for your reminder email and be sure to fill out the facility waiver before you arrive!

2025 New Skater Boot Camp
Hartford Area Roller Derby’s New Skater Bootcamp is a 8 week course dedicated to teaching people how to skate and play roller derby. In this class, you will learn basic skate skills including how to stop, how to turn, skate with crossovers, and how to fall safely, as well as all the rules of how the game works!
Never skated before? That's okay! We will teach you. We will even loan you gear and skates for a while until you decide if this is the sport for you!

New Skater Boot Camp
Hartford Area Roller Derby’s New Skater Bootcamp is a 7 week course dedicated to teaching people how to skate and play roller derby. In this class, you will learn basic skate skills including how to stop, how to turn, skate with crossovers, and how to fall safely, as well as all the rules of how the game works!
Never skated before? That's okay! We will teach you. We will even loan you gear and skates for a while until you decide if this is the sport for you!
Our New Skater Bootcamp meets twice a week, once on Sundays for skating practice, and once on Wednesdays for rules & Non Skating Officiating. At the end of the 7 weeks, you will have the chance to become a full member of HARD as either a skater, or referee.
